What is Cupping Massage?

Cupping is a therapy that creating suction and negative pressure that releases rigid soft tissue.  By doing this, excess fluid and toxins drain, adhesions loosen, connective tissue lifts and brings blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles.

What are the benefits of cupping?

The pulling action engages the parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for “rest and digest, allowing a deep relaxation to move through the entire body.

How do you feel after having cupping done?

Cupping can feel mildly uncomfortable or deeply pleasurable, depending on the individual. People often report that the experience stays with them longer than most treatments, and the speed with which the negative pressure massage effects change the tissue is truly amazing.

Most people feel very relaxed, warm, and light.

Here is what one guest had to say about their cupping treatment?

I had extreme tightness and pain in my upper shoulders along with numbness in my arms . How did cupping feel? It felt like a vacuum pulling out the muscles releasing the pain and tension along with the sensation of warmth . During the cupping massage there was circular motions used, feeling a release of the muscles, and increase in circulation. After my cupping experience, I was able to move my arm freely and not feel pain in my shoulders. There wasn’t any uncomfortable feelings during or after the service and I was very pleased on how much relief I received and how good I felt. It was a great first experience and would highly recommend it!

Is there an extra charge for cupping?

All of Savoye’s massages are charged via time no matter what type is chosen.  One can actually request more than one style of massage during a treatment!
